Donaire vs Frampton

Frampton is smaller, has significantly less power and yet he is bullying Donaire like he's his big brother. Outboxing at points and then just beating him up on the ropes. He is winning in every way possible so far.

Donito has a slightly bigger frame, but less muscle mass, and more flab.

Frampton taking some hits now and slowing down his rate of punches, hopefully doesnt start jumping in now!!!

You think Frampton looks sloppy?? Hes sharp as fuck

Maybe not, Donaire is doing a decent job on the ropes, Carl is landing but theyre making it seem hes landing everything

Definitely took the 6th round off and still won

Donaire has only came to life really in rounds 5/6 is that when you started watching? Otherwise Frampton has been sharp as hell..

He's turning it on now in the 7th though Carl needs to fight smart

Carl stunned from an uppercut but shook it off quickly

Frampton wobbled there for a second but came right back.

Donaire is waiting way too much. Complaining to the ref isn't going to win him any rounds.

Carl needs to stay on the outside. On the inside Donaire is finding a home for the uppercut.

Donaire hurt and complaining about head going in, as long as Carl fights smart this might finish early

Round 8
10-9 Carl

Donaire gets shut out when Carl throws combos and backs off, but Carl keeps wanting to get on the inside at times and hes not a clear winner inside at all.

Donaire's face looking like a catchers mitt, definitely hurting.

What is sharp?? He’s slipping some punches but hes getting hit to land his signature combos if thats what you mean

I think a strategy was to take hooks on the arms then counter Donaire. That's what they showed Carl doing on the pads backstage during the undercard.

Outside strategy is working though.

The first 4 rounds he was by FAR the more explosive moving in and out without getting hit, his footwork is sharp, hes picking his shots i dont know what else you want in a fighter to be considered sharp other than a fighter that fires single jabs cleanly and Frampton isnt that type of fighter?

Either guy would have benefited HUGE from doing body work. Especially Donaire. At his best he can wreck on the inside with body shots. This once in awhile throwing bombs stuff just isn't working for him.

I gave Frampton every single round. Donaire with possibly his worst performance of all time.

He was the definition of sharp early. In and out landing shots and even getting his opponent trapped in the corner and unloading on him. Some guys just won't give certain fighters credit no matter what they do.

Donaire could have had alot more success if he stood his ground alot more, hes stronger on the inside I think.

Donaire isnt looking as dangerous now though at all, especially since he isnt throwing anywhere near enough, so long as Carl fights smart and takes less risks going into the final 2 it's a clear win
