Damn, this thread really died.

Game is $40 on Amazon right now.

Doesn’t seem like Sherdog has a big FG community. The SF thread stays alive because a group of us try and keep it updated.

I picked it up. Any good resources to check out?

Are you a pad or stick player?

I'd start off with finding a youtube basic vid that breaks down the simple gameplay mechanics and frame data. Once you find your team, look for character specific channels and then after that you want to look for match-up specific stuff. I also use twitter and follow specific street fighter lab monsters and also the Street Fighter reddit. Here is DBZF's reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/dragonballfighterz/ / https://www.reddit.com/r/dbfz/

People are always willing to help and if you find you need some, ask on reddit or discord.

Fighting games are hard and not for everyone. If you’re into it casually, you’ll have a great time. Mortal Kombat probably has the largest fighter base strictly off the casual market. But once the fighting game bug bites you and you start picking up a few wins here and there and you see your training mode pay off, it becomes a big part of your gaming life. SFV really hit me hard and although I have played other games, I tend to play that game more than any other game combined. Here’s a great video explaining what makes fighting games different. Well worth a watch.
