That's a bad matchup for Golovkin. Prime Hagler boxes him up, late Hagler doesn't back down in the firefight and scores slicker combos.

GGG's chance is to get a stoppage by cutting Marvin : if Hagler gets cut he certainly has a harder time finishing GGG than he had against Hearns.

GGG odds against Hagler wouldn’t be worse (likely better) than Duran’s. But with Sanchez in his corner, GGG would bring the wrong fight plan against Hagler, and he loses... However, Hagler could struggle against those who box and move, and there was a time GGG could do that efficiently. Thus, instead of using his naturalized Mexican style, he’d better fights Hagler as Gassiev fought Dorticos (which had more Russian than Mexican dressing).
