Judge Yells at Police 'I'm a F***ing Judge' During DUI Arrest

A judge in New Jersey apparently thought he was immune to a drunk driving arrest simply because of his position — and it appears he might have been right.

Dash-cam footage from the November 2016 incident shows part-time judge Wilfredo Benitez repeatedly hurling obscenities toward the arresting officers. He called one officer “a d**k” for putting him in handcuffs

Police pulled Benitez over after he was found asleep behind the wheel at 2 a.m. At first, the judge said he was on his way home after taking his daughter to school, though he later said it was his son.

Even though he said he had not been drinking or taking drugs, the officers decided to perform a field sobriety test on Benitez, who told the cops, “What are you trying to do? I mean, I’m a judge.”

The DWI charges against Benitez were ultimately dropped due to flaws in the investigation.

I wish I didnt have to follow the law and at the same time had the power to make sure everyone else does

Cant wait for your next thread "Man decapitated in logging accident"

They don't call it the Just-us system for nothing.

I saw on most shocking once where cops pulled over a drunk woman superior court judge. She gave them shit and told them they wouldn't have jobs come Monday if they took her in. They ended driving her home and another cop drove her car to her home for her.

People from New York , New Jersey are the worst in the country. Boston close second .

This is why most cops really hate doing dui arrests. There are so many steps and little areas where the officers get challenged on every aspect. It does not matter if you have a black and white number That shows they they are way over the legal limit, if the officer does not ask them when they last ate, for example, you lose the case. The laws are set up by lawyers and designed so that expensive dui lawyers can beat the case every time. It is a racket.

Too bad I can't get let go for DUI by shouting "Fuck you, I'm a juror!". :(

Yes but the police is a part of the racket and the problem.

Who cares? Why not have a laugh and imagine this man in a Judge Dredd suit. I wish the dude's name was Ecbert. Fits perfectly.

100% accurate. My uncle is a big time lawyer in Miami and he said it's a scam. Government officials were paid off to add clauses in the laws so they could target and utilize them in dui cases, which they win every time.

I'm completely against drinking and driving but if he had pulled over onto the shoulder and put on his hazards to sleep it off before the cops even showed up, I can appreciate his taking the right steps. Still shouldn't be a judge anymore though.

The one who wrote the book around here charges 15,000 for a dui case in his county. 16 for the county next door. I took his class.. Wish I remembered all I learned lol
