Elizabeth Warren wants to rob shareholders, reward plebs.

Also stock ownership has decline dramatically since the financial meltdown. So lots of people missed out on the bull run right afterwards.

Lol what kind of job do you have where a smart phone isn't a necessity?

I was in the military, a cashier, a middle manager, an account, then owned 3 different businesses

I only actually needed a smart phone for 2 businesses I owned. And I probably could have still got by without one

Even working at McDonalds requires a phone moron. How else are they/people going to reach you? Two cans and a piece of string? Basically a phone is required if you are trying to get ANY job.

A cell phone and smart phone are not the same

You guys really are out of touch

Yeah, and how is your pension, and health care co-pays going?

If your answer is that they are doing well, you are literally the 1%. If your answer is shit, enjoy taco Tuesday.
Mustn’t have licked a lot of boots I guess and am a total Israeli but I’m doing fine, although my Benny card is giving me shit over my chiropractor lately.

And you are right to some extent, but the problem for me is where a good chunk of that 371$ car payment, or 120$ minimum payment on the credit card is going?

It's going to large financial institutions who get it for free at the 0% FED loan window. Our banking industry is now 25% of the economy and growing. Member when being a banker was boring, like a librarian, instead of a rock star gangster millionaire? Pepperidge farms members.

Well that's not exactly my point. My point is that money is not staying with you. Imagine if we reduce the spending by $200. You could invest that money. I see way to many people driving cars that are way to expensive for their income.
Growing up in my 20's to now that I'm 40. Friends and family buying 30k cars on 60k annual income. I myself have thrown away money on cars and credit cards throughout my lifetime. I look back in horror on how much money I could have now if I gone a bit cheaper on a car or waited a bit longer to save and buy the big screen TV. Luckily I have as Dave Ramsey says "the income to hide my stupidity."

BINGO

Um most the jobs we are talking about. McDonalds requires a smart phone? We are talking about poor people.

This is the post you were responding to

What is the meaningful difference between a smart phone and penicillin?

Your response was games and youtube. You didn't even think about the increase in productivity that smartphones enable.

Lemonade stands are rough businesses

When my wife and I pay more taxes in a year than Exxon Mobile something is wrong.

But fuck Warren and her open borders friends. Open borders are a war against the middle class. I have friends in the trades that have a hard time competing against illegal aliens that are allowed to undercut them here in California. Illegals hire illegals and don't have to worry about paying for healthcare or other shit legal citizens have to deal with. Illegals have a competitive advantage that hurts the middle class.

Anyone that does construction in California knows this.

LOL! Warren is for open borders, and I doubt anyone she knows is. Where do people come up with this lunacy?

Get on board guys flight stewardess that have been with airlines for many years should be able to fly the plane in fact it should be mandatory by the government

Democrats are an open border party now. Welcome to 2018.

No, I understand that you're claiming that, but it's ludicrous. Learn to think for yourself and do your own research instead of just blindly swallowing marketing material with no basis in reality.

Jesus, I can't tell if you're trolling. But in case you're not, there are two obvious problems with this. One, picking stocks well requires knowledge. In fact, most "experts" can't even beat index funds and can't even justify their fees. The second, and more important problem, is that people don't have cash to invest. There are so many people that can't make ends meet that they don't have any safety savings for emergencies, couldn't afford a $500 surprise bill, etc. so they sure as hell can't invest.

It's a circular problem. Gains have gone to the richest folks and wages are stagnant which means lots of people who earn from wages aren't able to invest (which is where the gains are to be had).

And your disgust of people who simply work for a living makes me think you're trolling, but if not it's pretty lame.
He has a trolly persona so he has the ingrained excuse of "hehe I was just trolling" when he says something amazingly stupid.

Do you really think eating McDonalds and owning a phone is a luxury?

I love this argument. It's like people don't understand the concept of the baseline. If everyone has something, that doesn't mean that everyone is rich - merely that the basic standard of life is such that that thing is accessible to everyone. So the fuck what that we have cellphones and YouTube compared to the king's of Egypt? The meaningful comparison is to the contemporary society, to the contemporary elites.

Only a fucking moron needs this explained.

Having someone make you a burger in 3 minutes with fries and a 30 gallon drum of soda? Yeah, that's pretty effing decadent.
Do you mean being fed addictive poison in an industrial speed because you can't afford heathy natural products? Keep your decadence

Find anybody's phone and see how much of their browsing history is for business. It's youtube, podcasts, probably porn and netflix, twitter.
Sure. At the same time owning a smart phone with a data plan is a prerequisite to getting a job in the skilled trades. It's looked at as an indispensable tool and not a luxury in many other areas as well.

i remember liking this woman when she was vocal against the bailout pushed through congress in late 2008
now, not so much

Did you have a smart phone 15 years ago? It's nothing short of amazing that you consider it a necessity now. Now it's a high data plan that is considered standard. You're making my point.

It is though. Many companies have gone paperless. From timecards to work orders to the necessity of always being available, it's reality now. My smartphone is my office. And I goof off on Sherdog at the office waaaay too much.

That's my point though. Nothing is a luxury for that long. There are things as absurdly luxury as smart phones that considered needs now. Life gets better
