For any up and coming fighter, the best tool you can have is a funny accent

I mean charismatic fighters have always had some sort of popularity or following. Paddy is undefeated in the UFC too with finishes. It's the illusion at play at this point.

He’s not charismatic. He has a funny accent that’s it. People don’t know the difference between confidence and brilliance.

Oh look, someone else roleplaying as an idiot. Go and get some pussy

Paddy isn't brilliant either, I'm just saying he's one of those guys excited to get up on mic and has the ability to get people to listen in. He's just naturally controversial enough to draw people in and confident/enthusiastic when he speaks. I might think I was wrong if people weren't making damn threads about this guy every time he opens his mouth.

You don’t even have to have any skills anymore. At least Conor had some devastating KO’s to go with his quirky Irish accent. Now fighters are getting the push based purely off the way they speak. Paddy the baddy is a fighter who is almost completely bereft of any of the relevant skills needed to compete at the level he’s been inserted into. They couldnt even make him look impressive vs Old man Tony Ferguson.

And then you have real killers like Ilia forced to do pressers and making a fool of himself because he speaks barely any English. Dana needs to go man. In every interview I see him in now he’s always on edge, agitated. Bringing in Nina Drama so UFC has more control over stories breaking and fight news is gross as well, and her pretending that she’s not part of the brass when she is, but the simp mma community do not care because she’s nice to look at. Just go and watch some porno and come back when you’re ready to ingest some mma news.
Some devastating KO's ?????

He had 2 lol. And the Poirier one was everything but devastating. Didn't even hit Poirier properly...

What the hell are you talking about? His English isn't quite fluent-level, but he's definitely has a decent and functional grasp of English.

Devastating KO/ Impressive performance however you want to spin it. Brimmage, Alvarez etc

Exactly he speaks confidently but says nothing at all and people can’t tell because of his accent.

Fair enough, I am no Paddy fan. I wish spotlight went to fighters who deserved it, but that's the only way I make sense of it.

I’m actually from Liverpool. I want to be a fan and back my own but his skills just don’t justify the push, particularly evident in his fight with Ferg. I just don’t like the direction it’s going in. Nina Drama pretending to be a journalist while being on Dana’s payroll feels dystopian, like a dictatorship. It’s all being more and more fake

Agreed. I actually don't mind "the show" and if guys act fake as hell to sell tickets if they step in and are real fighters though. Guess its too hard to find both.

Yeah I agree I like the press conferences and where some fans say they don’t need the drama to be interested, I mean they’re right but it does help to make a fight feel more meaningful. And I know these guys respect eachother for the most part as they’re working towards similar goals, but I do believe it when they talk shit about eachother

You can’t pretend to disrespectful

With that said if guys are getting put into main event slots like Paddy, they need to be delivering in some way

Biased and unreasonable.
No, really.
What do you mean?

If your assertion was the fighter was skipping the line, I'd 100% understand your point.

As it stands now, it seems like you're just crying because a fighter you don't like is generating his own hype/traction.

I'm not sure what you want the UFC or anyone else to do about that.
They aren't even pushing him along quickly, he's not fought any elite guys yet.
