Fighting March 10 at the Myrtle Beach House of Blues WarFare 18, former NFL player Austen Lane joins the Split Decision MMA Podcast to talk about the upcoming bout.

Joey talks with Austen Lane the former NFL Defensive End making his transition into the sport of MMA. Currently 3-0 fighting in the heavyweight division Lane is taking to Mixed Martial Arts like a duck to water.

Joey finds out Austen’s diet is not like most fighters , being a dad and punching people in the face is cool and what heavyweights currently fighting need to watch out for.

At six foot six, two hundred forty five pounds and putting down a 4.58 forty he will definitely be one of the quickest fighters we’ve seen in the heavyweight division.

Damn, is that cage like 12' across?
The poor ref is in danger half the fight.

He's going to do the Gong and Dash, James Thompson style?

Im all for as many former nfl fighters as possible. They're great athletes and can lead to good fighters, who knows. Schaub and mitrione did decent for themselves. Not champ level but beat a lot of good fighters.
