From what I can remember some time ago inventor of this poison said that poison was on a door knob and on this day there were rain or mist or something like that in England. And he said that this poison can't exist for long periods of time in rain/wet conditions. So I think he said that Skripals was able to recover because of rain/wet conditions some amount of poison disappeared.
