forum keeps logging me out

You clicked the lower right box on the login screen to "stay logged in", right?

Try logging out, clearing your cache, Web history, and cookies, and then log back on. If the problem persists, then I don't know what to tell you. First I've heard of this issue.

This happens constantly to me as well.

This happens to me multiple times a day.

The "stay logged in" checkbox doesn't seem to do it's job.

Try logging out, clearing your cache, Web history, and cookies, and then log back on. If the problem persists, then I don't know what to tell you. First I've heard of this issue.

It popped up last year but if memory serves, recommending that users tick the Keep me logged in box upon logging in resolved quite a few cases. Other than that, haven't an idea of the cause myself. (I recall some users reporting it happened while surfing between the main site and the forums, which some hadn't realised are two sites.)
