He should have won an Oscar for Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, an excellent example of him being more than just scenery chewing or "vanishing into the role". The Artist was quite fun but really more of a fad combined with Hollywood loving to see itself celebrated I'd say.

He's likely going to win the BAFTA and Oscars this year. What do you think is his best role?

If you didn't vote for " Bram Strokers Dracula " your stupid.

Gary is a real actor. Miss me with all this Al Pacino and Jack Nicholson bullshit. Bobby De Niro is a hack in comparison.

So the roles in The Professional and True Romance are not worthy enough choices?

hmm this is a hard one But a toss up between Dracula and Sid maybe.. probably edge it out to Dracula.

Agreed. I mean it is still Gary, but I would agree his performance as DRACULA was his best.

<mma4> Glad we cleared this up.

Tinker Tailor. He should have won the oscar for it in 2012.

I actually watched Dracula last night, god it's awful in so many ways.

Interviewer: Gary what did you like about your role in-

Gary Oldman: I'm going to stop you right there

Interviewer: What?

Gary Oldman: I thought everything sucked

Interviewer: But that one role was a cult class--

Gary Oldman: *climbs out window*

Darkest hour but I doubt many Americans will see it (and thus vote for it).

I'm old enough to have rented that on VHS back in the 90s and it was a great movie, but Leon has been one of my favorite movies since I was a kid, and he was incredible in that. But State of Grace would be my 2nd choice. 3rd is True Romance. White Boy Day is classic, along with "part eggplant".

Had to be the professional. He was just great in tha movie although he is amazing in everything he does. True romance would be second for me.
