General MMA Discussion & Future Lines - March, 2018

karol celinski is no joke, yeah he's 37 and a bit lackadaisical but his boxing combos are fluid when he decides to let his hands go.

barnatt's last fight against a 5'9 light heavyweight who always gasses. r1 was really bad.

i think celisnki is worth a stab.

BANG!

Took an L on that AXS card to end the streak. I really don't regret either bet though. Manley may have been a bad one, but he looked like he had him at one point. Paiva was definitely the right side.

Cashed in my Bouland bet, after rewatching some fights I have a bad feeling about this and think he might get subbed.

I did however put 2u on Herbert @1,73

Thought manley might be able to tough it out and secure a couple rounds but he was outgunned. Agree on Paiva. Afro Monkey was just spamming one combo and Paiva got his timing down fast. Crazy choke. I thought Meaux was going to give Ewell problems in his last fight but M'fer keeps proving me wrong for some reason.

Bouland is getting a little too much love for beating Reed, a flawed fighter himself that was ready to be faded. Reed has questionable cardio, stand-up, and Bouland fight showed Reed's poor fight iq (2 hail Mary guillotines in a row). Bouland also got one-punched himself a couple fights ago, so sometimes his wait and see strategy on the feet can backfire.

He also brushed off Ilia, a bjj blackball with wrestling-like takedowns, by pointing to how he fended off Josh Reed's attempts. Not the same thing. Value on Ilia.

Also on Herbert, confidence increase after seeing the weigh in photo.

Yeah he looks a foot taller. I like him but not at that price. Karatas overhand right-ed a pretty decent guy in Alexis Savvidis, and Herbert just got KO'd not that long ago, but by a much taller guy. Herbert has to stay at comfortable distance to win.

Added another unit on Herbert, so total +2.18

Exactly what I thought would happen happened, Bouland got choked, happy I cashed in that bet.

I thought Manley had the sub. I figured he'd basically outlast and take advantage at some point. He was really close. I think he was just too hurt after the first round. Although the scorecards don't show it, I think the fight was pretty close given what Manley needed to do.

So now that Delaware and New Jersey are offering sports betting in casino's, how much longer before you can bet on fights there?

will they just steal odds from online books or will they make their own?

I hope to be making a lot of drives over the border to parlay the ML and o/u like you can in Vegas... once I turn 21.

Who knows if they will even offer MMA wagering, much less allow you to make correlated parlays on it.

Id assume some will offer mma in some way, even if its only due to offering something their competitors aren't. If there's demand i don't see why they wouldn't
