What I find surprising is that Bild has sided on the pro-migrant side, and that Deutsche Welle is also in favor of mass immigration.
So it s weird that they would report that IF the story is questionable.
Yeah, Bild's approach is more shitty sensationalism than catering to right-wing populism. I wouldn't exactly label them "pro-migrant" though.
The actual figures they give are a 79% increase in total migrant crimes, compared to a 440% increase in migrants. They also mention that at least a third of the crimes are related to fraud and declared assets (presumably in relation to the asylum application process). Lastly that the increased crimes all happened at the start of the migrant surge and had settled by September. That still doesn't counter their headlining with the overall crime rates or a half million increase in the expected number of migrants.
I'm not discounting it out of hand. I'm just saying that without being able to see the source or evaluate it, there's no way I'd simply take the word of such incredibly crap and biased sources.
