Getting Old is Going to Suck.

Have ulcer problems. When it's bad I can't work, sleep, eat, stand, sit, lie down, think anything.

Good luck with the back. Hopefully it heals up strong.

Threw my back out this week picking up a box of brake rotors from too low and after about 3 days of healing it popped again yesterday, a little bit worse.

I can barely wipe my own ass right now and I have a wedding to attend on Friday. Don't want to go to the doctor just for pills because I don't want to sit in a waiting room with a bunch of flu patients. I'm not even fucking 40 and I need a cane to stand up. Don't even really want to smoke weed cuz I don't want to cough.

The human spine is proof there is no god.

I never should have gone snowboarding. Ever.

How is your body failing?
In country Croatia they have one thing you put on back and whit magnets it help your back. It name is kosmodiks

You had it checked out I assume? Untreated stomach or esophagus ulcers can lead to bad shit.
I had my first back surgery when I was 29 I think. Been putting off my seconds since I was 30 and just deal with the pain. A lot of the things mentioned here can be helped a lot if you can find a GOOD chiropractor. Not always easy, but they're out there and they do help.

Yeah had no choice. I was in the hospital a few days last time it was bad. Unfortunately there is such a long wait for just about any specialist appointments in Canada that by the time I had a scope it had healed naturally. It's nice that it healed but at the same time it would be nice to have some sort of proof that's what's causing my pain and bleeding.

Been there done that, did powerlifting in the 90's, lot's of tree work, heavy lifting. Finally wrecked my back like you said in '95, it sucks. I did the chiro for a while and had relief, did the muscle relaxer/Vicodin/norco thing for some of the episodes also helped me. Now I'm in my 50's I'm actually doing pretty good now, retired about 5 months ago greatly reduced my drinking, crawled down the weed wormhole again after so many years and I'm hiking steep mountain trails now instead of weights in the gym.
I lost 25 pounds, knees and back have improved greatly (although not 18 again) but it does get better. I suffered for years with it and still have numbness in my right leg but we can't stop the aging process. Good luck with that, hope you get some relief.

Gout almost killed me last year.

lol! I have a friend who gots that in his big toe He bitches and cries and he even pisses in a bottle b/c he does not wan to get up from the couch or bed.

Injuries linger forever it seems now. I hit the top of my foot while i kicked the bag the wrong way like 2 weeks ago and I'm still gimpy a bit.

I have an intern at work who's 17 and she told me today her mom's birthday is tomorrow. I asked how old she'll be and she said my age.

I'm like fuck, I could have had a kid who was this size and age by now?

#oldfeelings

There are certain things I can’t do in the gym anymore...deadlifts, heavy squats, heavy bench. I do more machines and dbs. I have to wear wrist wraps and I need to warm up. My lower back will stiffen up on occasion. Also my stomach isn’t what it was...I can’t eat junk and expect to not have the squirts.

You kids quit your whining. Yes all that shit the old guys said you were going feel when you get older is true ( I didnt believe also).

I have aches and pains but you have to keep going.

I still try to run 3 times a week ( 5 miles with weight), not fast but run. Also teach and work out 2 to 3 times a week.

I retired and went back to work full time at auto parts store lifting batteries and rotors and all kinds of shit.

The key is just keep moving and know you will get hurt but just heal then get back to.

TS I know your pain as have strained my back and it was hell getting back up once you sat down for a while. Only took over the counter meds and just dealt with it. Still had to use a cane to get up then wait a couple of seconds to move on. It sucks but you will heal. Good luck.

I don't think too much of the physical pain(sometimes I have some) but being now in my early 30s really suck.

I mean the moment when you realize that this World is a complete worthless place, surrounded by half-idiots most of the time... oh and yeah.. may I add that I still have no gf?! That's really taking all of the little joy I have left in me.

You know the situation is really bad when you start realizing that the movie title "A 40 years old Virgin" doesn't sound too weird to begin with. (althought that's not exactly the case but...)

There is God.

And age is just a number, it depends on how you take care of yourself.

Back ache?

Have you tried doing yoga and using inversion table?

I noticed a big change healthwise when i hit 35.

I'm 33 and I could have told you 15 years ago that getting old will suck.

Mostly because both my parents have health issues and all of my grandparents were dead decades ago.

But whatever. Just got to make the most of it.

You've got to make sure you're doing it right. By 40 you should be mostly debt-free, with only a mortgage to service, a healthy pension pot, savings and a strong income. You can then afford to make life more comfortable for yourself, so you have somewhere to rest your aching bones when you need to.

I'm 43 this year and I still exercise once or twice a day. I'm lucky enough to have a gym at my office, but last year I either cycled or ran 7 miles to and from work, and ended up racking up over 1000 miles running on Strava. Yeah, my back hurts here & there, and I have to get up at night for a piss a lot more frequently now, but at least I've offset that with greater financial and social stability.

Growing old presents new challenges, but it also presents you with new rewards. Gotta take the rough with the smooth...

Most of you are talking about not problems from aging. But problems from not giving a shit about take care of your body..

And now you are paying the bitter price.

Started feeling tightness in my hamstring tried pushing through it few days later couldn’t sit, lay down, cough, or sneeze thought I strained a muscle or something 3 months later it’s worse numbness and pain starts mid back and travels to right foot, that was with doing suggested stretches for sciatica nothing is working finally went to the doctors since no improvement did a exam and X-rays to find out I have arthritis and narrowing discs in my L5 region of spine been wrestling since 15 and sports since grade school continued jiu jitsu untill injury happened only 30 years old and fucked my lumbar up already I ask why god why.

No wonder you are always so negative and every single comment from you is irrationally agressive, dropping F bombs for no reason and yelling at posters.

You're just a bitter old cunt that didnt take care of himself

I just had an MRI for something very similar.
