GIF: Eddie Alvarez with some slick boxing

Where was this vs Conors. I know he admitted to blowing his gameplan but still. It could have been such a great fight

Very slick indeed.

And people wondered why Justin gassed.

EA landed some goooood body work that fight.
If goldie was still around there would have been bank comments for days

I'm no Conor fan (not even close) but that is some ownage right there.Talk about a horrible game plan from Eddie and his team..

See I think this is a common misconception.
Eddie had a decent game plan. He just wasn't able to follow it.
Conor tagged him early and never let Eddie recover and get back in the fight.
Eddie said he never saw the punch that knocked him down first.
He looked dazed and shocked after that.

You're right, just would of liked to see Eddie close the distance and grapple Conor. Not looking to bang at all...

Eddie like to trade shots, but he isnt as good as Mate when come to absorb punches.....

That's what happen when he underestimate his opponent.

A desperate dive at Conors ankles would have been better than standing up and getting mauled everytime he tried to throw a punch.
Big fan of both guys and definitely thought Eddie would do better.
Conors boxing is just that much better than most MMA guys.

Obviously its easier to box with a punching bag like Gethje than Mcgregor
No one is denying that. Still some impressive boxing.

80% of this site predicted Justin would destroy him. Now alot of the post are what you just said.

Very slick indeed.

They had different goals. Conor wanted to everything quickly, so he can start negotiations regarding Floyd / UFC stock, spare his pregnant wife the stress of watching him fight
Eddie wanted to embarrass Conor and to prove how Conor is a fraud. Had he fought Conor like he was just another opponent, we wouldn't see such one-sided fight. But Eddie probably loses to Conor most of the time these days
