What good boxing instructionals are there? Something beyond this is a jab, this is a cross. Maybe something focussing on defensive actions and or attacking the opponent.

Join a good boxing gym.......it takes lots of dedication to train on your own and you will pickup bad habits....

It's all relative to you, personality, attributes, height, reach, weight, etc. As was said by a previous poster, you should join a gym, at least to start.

To answer your question more directly, you can work on positional training. You have your weapons, how do you establish an effective range to use them.

Work on pivots, shuffling, linear movement in and out. Train with your weight on the front foot and back foot, learn to lead, and learn to counter. All of these are methods to set up your offense, and will keep you out of range when needed.
