That is selling out .....

Technically it is, but only by way of a fairly significant technicality which is intentionally misleading to the public if they are not aware of the slight of hand at play.

A) not all "sell outs" are created equal.

B) by manipulating the amount of tickets it affects supply/demand and aids in jacking up prices as high as possible.

Instead of people having the option to pay face value for nosebleeds they have to compete for more expensive seats.

Every show is sold out multiple times over, and the powerslappers are more famous than F1 drivers, Soccer players, movie stars, and heads of state combined.
