Heavy Bag vs Muay Thai Bag

Well I have started my martial arts journey again and I am going to get the title double trouble bag stand. I was unsure if i should get the heavy bag that comes with it buy another or get me a muay thai bag. I am training mma with the focus being on muay thai but i dont wajt to forget my hands. I was wanting to know what are some good pros and cons to each style and what are some good bags that are budget friendly?

+1 for Outslayer.

As for the lenght of the have bag, its a mather of preference.

I have both 4' bag and 6' bag and the only thing that you can do on a Thai bag, that you can't on a regular one, is the low kick.

I find teep and knees to be more fun on the 4' bag tho.

Oh, +1 for Outslayer here as well. I have the five foot 100lb. bag. I just do boxing, though.

I might be biased, but I love both Yokkao and Twins heavy bags. Longer bags can be useful, but for most things I prefer a standard size heavy bag. Good quality leather is a must in my opinion, but that's just because I like how it feels a lot more for knees and elbows.

Best bang for your buck heavy bag IMO is the Fairtex 6ft bag.

Smaller thai style bags like the Fairtex HB2 are great if only training Muay Thai because of the swing you get with them and it builds your rhythm which is really important.

They do come in different colours and you need to pack them yourself but they last so long and when compared to the price of Twins Special and Top King bags, Fairtex is the best value for money.
