Henry Cavill Is Scared to Flirt Because He'll Be "Called a Rapist"... Why did he say that in public?

Well, he isn't wrong for feeling that way. It may sound extreme to assume he'd be accused of being a rapist, but we've seen how much the #MeToo movement has devolved into basically a witch hunt at this point. A lot of women aren't looking for only justice, they're looking for any sort of revenge or retribution against males that they can find.

When several people are getting suspended, fired, ousted, etc. sometimes over the allegations of only one person, then it's hard to find fault with his paranoia.

In terms of what you're saying, I have gotten groped by women...and unless their are trying to inflict harm...I don't care. (it happens about a third of the time when I see live bands)

...but if I was a girl.................no.

Guys should not grope women.

It is a double standard, but the standard guy is exponentially stronger than the standard woman, so...
Your entire stance / position was toast the second you typed your last sentence.

Troll confirmed.

Crazy chicks man ...

How about...get to KNOW someone before moving forward...thus gaining a real perspective regarding their character or lack thereof...

But whatever. Desperate guys and girls do desperate things...and then cry later on.

Whereas if you actually try to get to know someone, (as opposed to Fakebook...etc, etc, etc, etc, etc) then you increase your chances of meeting SANE people... It's really quite simple, and NOT as scary as Cavill makes it out to be.

Generally, I agree that it's better to meet people in "real life." However, it doesn't mean you won't run into somebody crazy.

Well guess what, the whole...venturing into the unknown is...THAT'S LIFE.

Boo hoo.

Some thrive, while others cower as the world passes them by.

WAR adventure!

this shit is getting out of hand

people need to stop giving women this much damn power. they are going to completely fuck society up if they're allowed to continue this bullshit

no more tip toeing around how you word something, i say. men are men. we need to act like it. i am a man and I will say whatever the fuck I want to say. If that offends you then fuck yourself you silly bitch.

LOL. You act like losing your job and being publicly labeled a pariah is just fun drama.

Ummm. If you spend the time to get to know someone and in the process it turns out they are crazy, angry or a bad person, that EXACT time you spent getting to know them is what they can use to make shit up about you.

Remember the MeToo movement does not require you actually do anything wrong. The accusing woman just needs a window of time together to make an accusation within.

the whole 'boo hoo Chris Hardwick you lost your career', 'boo hoo Ghomeshi you lost your career and almost went to jail'. You guys just need to accept that risk and do nothing to avoid it like a real man is what makes you stupid.

I don't think he said anything that out of line, though using 'rapist' was a bit much. He's got a lot to lose, and there are a lot of shady people out there.

I can't hate on Cavill, I know what he's saying.

Even as a good looking guy you take a bit of a risk when flirting in general.

Shit these days if a touch phobic British person gets greeted by a handsy Italian with a hug and two cheek kisses off a double shoulder grab there are plenty of people out there who would call that a sexual assault.

This just might make a better beard than Gina Carano trying to slide into acting.

If I was in his position, I would feel the same. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I dont have nearly as much to lose, so I can still freely flirt without much fear. Shame it has come to this. Female/male relationships are really a landmine now. There is no standard practice anymore. It all depends on how the woman feels, and not even at that moment. They can come back months or even years later, claiming otherwise.

Stay safe single sherbros

I think he got in trouble for equating this to "rape"(using the rapist word).

IMO, If he simply stated "I have zero clue on how to approach women and flirt with them 'cause of #MeToo", he wouldn't even have been a blip on the radar.

You need a time out AND a safe space.

Fucking geez.

If you didn't notice, there are about ZERO "safe places" for men/boys who are abused.

Are there any shelters and agencies that help men and/or boys that get abused? I can hardly think of any.

And make no mistake, men are abused just as much or more than women in relationships. It's just not as well reported - because there's a stigma against it to "toughen up" and no one really cares.

Gotta make them come to you, ive even considered videotaping my sex so I cant be accused of "regret rape" like Aziz.

Truth is women have always been conniving and they love taking men down, especially sexually appealing men.

The only thing with more social power than an attractive woman is an attractive man, because we can keep our looks well into our 40s and even mid 50s. Women just can't.

I'm not saying every woman is out there to get men, but a lot are. With this me too movement they have power over us now. They lead men on and then claim harassment.

Anyone whose had a breakup with a crazy chick knows that she will tell every lie in the book about you to everyone around you. Now, multiple that by 1000 being a rich movie star falsesly accused of rape.

Truth is that this would be the perfect time to legalize prostitution. Why would I risk my life being accused of some thing i didnt do when i can just go bang a professional who thinks like me and won't stab me in the back?

I have said the same thing for years: "I'm glad that I have such wonderful hands."

This thread has made me even happier.

Thank the gods that I have such splendid hands.

However, I am also very depressed that there are so many male persons having their entire lives literally RUINED because of this heinous horseshit.

It could have just as easily happened to me.

What's next? The return of public executions?

The return of public executions for innocent persons?

LouisBolanos can provide the popcorn for these public executions.
