HIV check every 6months for grappling gyms?

Ok Mods. please step up. this is just a forum, we don't need due process. This is such a blatant troll account, just ban the dude.

I competed in a grapplers quest tournament and I didn't have to provide any bloodwork or medical records.
oh crap, I think I got confused MMA with grappling tourneys. Yeah, never been asked for blood work for grappling events.
Still though, its not too bad of an idea

what he's proposing isn't a bad idea.

Worth discussion at least.

I wouldn't want to grapple with someone with an STD.

Personally I think it's a bad idea, but regardless...

the dude joined a month ago, and look at all the threads he has going. If it was just this one thread sure, I wouldn't be absolutely sure he's a troll.
But he joined in November and look at all his threads. None are about technique or competition etc. It's all inflammatory nonsense.

are you retarded? odds are that if youve trained with 50 different people in your life one of them has had some lil peepee bug

I know this is a troll job, but the odds of you contracting HIV from grappling are up there with me making it out of a 8 minute roll with Paul Harris with both legs intact.

This is a pretty funny idea actually. But like others are saying transmission is not so easy. Female-to-male transmission is almost non-existent. There's a reason that the HIV demographics haven't really changed through the years. It's basically still spread through junkies sharing needles and gay men. If a woman gets it from a man that man is almost certainly either bisexual or a junky.

You know that BJJ is not the porn industrie, most gyms doesn't require member insertion into members

I personally know a paramedic who stabbed his thumb all the way through with an aids needle and didn't contract it. It's harder to catch than people think.

MSRA is the thing I’d be worried of. Not HIV.

It's not like they're obtaining the results without your permission. You can choose to share your personal medical history with anyone you choose.

but if they are storing part of your medical record, the test result, they would have to be able to ensure no one has access to that information, accidental or otherwise, and anyone working at the gym would need to be trained in HIPAA.

Sharing it with the gym to meet there policy is one thing; but then the gym still needs to ensure no one else can access that information--I wouldn't want any old joe schmoe being able to see my lab results even having nothing to hide because its none of their business

It would be a slippery slope

Also really valid points.

Wow that's a bit much lol
You know what the sad truth is, "pro" love makers are much much cleaner than most "ammy" chicks you come across. The amount of dumb shit I've been through and heard from friends is astonishing. One time I forgot my rubbers, and this dumbass said it okay to stick it in raw, then back in freshman year in college, this social butterfly wanted me to stick in her pooper raw. Shit like that never flies with pros.

I get blood work every 6 months regardless, and now that I donate blood they do it for me if there is anything alarming, only i don't get the results to give out per se. But at least it would let me know to go get another test for submission.

I don't hate the idea of HIV/Hep C testing in gyms, never heard of any asking for it though unless you are competing inn MMA.
