Homophobic Republican State Rep.

He handled that poorly with his diatribe but the take away is he said you don't have to touch me all the time. If this was a one time thing I doubt he would have said something.

There are people I don't like who are very touchy and it bothers me when they give you a pat on the shoulder every time they walk by. It builds. I will see them coming and I just know they are going to touch me and I start to cringe before it even happens.

You may be right. But the answer is a polite professional conversation, not losing your shit. Why let it build?

He let it build and fester then blew up.... and now we are entertained, and all the better for it.

If everyone behaved the way they were supposed to then this world would be no fun.

Thats what I said about the Sandler thing too. So, which is it? Is it acceptable to touch people who asked not to be touched or not?

Did he get touched after he asked not to be touched? Why do you keep saying the guy is gay? He his not.

This video is hilarious. A Democratic State Rep was sitting next to a clearly homophobic or possibly gay himself Republican state rep and while speaking the Dem lightly put his hand on the Repub's arm. The Repub interrupted the Dem and went on a homophobic diatribe and it was hilarious and extremely uncomfortable as the rest of the members laughed out loud at the Republican rep.

What is wrong with conservatives these days? Why is everything so awkward to them?

Is the gay agenda being forced on people? I ask myself this question often. What do you think?

When a woman doesn't want to have sex with a homo and gets bullied to death you know there is a problem. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...ng-to-have-sex-with-man-who-did-gay-porn.html

Heard this on the radio, had me cracking up. I get some people don't like to be touched but that was so innocuous. Just say please don't touch me it makes me uncomfortable, really not that hard of a concept. The complete overreaction makes me think this guy might have a "wide stance" in the men's room.

Only because you want it to be.

We need to make up our minds and be honest here. Are straight white people allowed to feel uncomfortable or not? Lets be honest, if that were a woman, the conversation would be different. "No unwanted touching, pretty simple!" I've seen it used here for several female victims and male "attackers." Are we really so conditioned that we believe straight whites need to just deal with what is deemed unacceptable for everyone else? Sure seems like it on this forum.

edit- thats what bugs me about the left today. You're not looking for equality, you're looking to punish people.
this is what bugs me about the right today. they're trying so hard to be the victim.

and the problem is not about him not wanting to be touched, it's the "I'm straight and I have a wife and kids" tirade which made it really awkward. If he'd had said "Can you please stop touching me though?" nobody would've made an issue out of it.

It has absolutely nothing to do with "straight white people" not being allowed to feel uncomfortable. Also, it might be noteworthy that with "straight white people" you meant "straight white men".

Tinfoil hat on, but it sounded like those two knew each other and that was just foreplay.

How about keeping your hands to yourself and not try to claim anothers space?

Lol, this guy is clearly 'all' the conservatives as much as any democrat doing something people don't like is 'all' democrats.

Shit is getting stupid and crazy.

There'd be no youtube or, god/nothing(for the atheists) forbid, a sherdog warroom.

I'd actually be pretty annoyed/pissed in this situation.
Dude had no reason to touch him.
