The reason I brought this up because in principle, both genres use electronic music. For those who love House music, what would you recommend for fans of Joy Division, New Order, Psychedelic Furs, Modern English, etc.

I do appreciate Vaporware and yes I am aware of New Retro Wave, which is an amazing channel in YouTube. But what does the present generation listen to, that you would consider substantial and thought-provoking?

Apart from Primal Scream you'd probably want to look at the Detroit Techno djs as Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins and Kevin May were all influenced by New Order.

For more modern stuff I'd check out Daniel Avery, His Drone Logic record is great. Joris Voorn's Balance 14 mix. Death In Vegas's Contino Sessions and Fabric mixes are good. Definitely look at Jon Carter. You'd want his Live at the Social mix and the Bugged Out one. Leftfield's debut album is a must as it has John Lydon on it.
