How Accurate are the PunchBoxer Machines in Arcades??

I remember punching one of these at a movie theater. I was probably 220 pounds then. I saw some guys hitting it and wanted to see how I scored. I hit it as hard as I could and it bounced back and forth with no reading, did it 3 times. people were gathering watching me and I was kinda embarrassed even though it was obviously really loud and powerful, Im kind of bashful at times. after 3 times of non registering I was confused and just tapped it and got like a 10. :redface:
