Go ahead and inform me why "society" (which society?) established a punitive structure for homosexuality. While you're at it, please also inform me know why some "societies" created punitive structures for being left handed, female, albino, disfigured, handicapped, a certain color, or any other outdated and sometimes downright monstrous prejudice that led them to commit atrocities?
 
Because if there is no judgement why not widen the sexual buffet?

Through out history homosexuality has had differing views in societies. Many times seen as positive and some time negative.

Most time the negative is tied to some type of backwards ass religious zealotry in an attempt to control the populace and maximize kids being born into a certain religion. One of the best ways to control a populace is to fill them with self loathing and guilt and then offer the only road to redemption by pledging themselves and giving away tons of their money.

there is little to care about when others live their lives, unless you think you need to meddle in and try to control others lives.

It doesn't even seem like pansexuality is common in Hollywood. Im sure I could name over a hundred tv and movie stars, probably a lot more. The vast majority seem to be married or at least outwardly heterosexual. I can only name a dozen or so openly gay actors and musicians out of the hundreds out there.

People really are losing their minds lately. They don't seem to be capable of just living their life and letting other people live theirs. They take the smallest most inconsequential things and blow them up. It's the old, "Why are they shoving it in our face?!" argument even when nothing is being shoved in their face.

Imagine getting mad every time a straight person said they were in a heterosexual relationship, held hands, kissed or hugged in public, etc. and then said they were shoving their sexuality in your face. It's just such an absurd and pathetic complaint.

All of them pretty much? I can think of a single healthy society that didn't in some way restrict or condemn homosexuality. Really the reasons aren't the point. But just saying live and let live is abdicating responsibility for your opinion. It is also ignorant in so far as it assumes that these systems arise for no reason.

The common anthropological answer as to why homosexuality were punished was because they were not procreative. Some societies which weren't particularly focused on monogamous structures allowed homosexuality as secondary relationships but everyone was expected to reproduce and fulfill their social role. Today in an overpopulated world I think allowing individuals to practice homosexuality as an exclusive lifestyle doesn't cause a problem in this regard, but their are burgeoning secondary issues such as the growing rift between gays and lesbians and the increasingly militant stance they have been taking. Then there is the nature of the relationships themselves, both gay and lesbian communities are extremely unhealthy. Gay communities are rife with STDs and Lesbians live in abject poverty relatively, this is ignoring the serious levels of spousal abuse in both communities. There is a great deal more there to consider but it really wasn't the point. Heedless progressivism will destroy society. Chesterton's fence is more relevant now then it has ever been in my lifetime.

I could easily go down the list and explain to you why most of those evolved as social behaviors. You seem to assume that I couldn't, that there are no possible rational reasons for these behaviors to evolve. That is an enormously socially destructive attitude regardless of where you wind up on the issues after careful consideration.

This has been happening for a while now. Kids being influenced into becoming wannabe activist SJWs in college and turning sexuality or gender into some sort of weird trend/fad -- that's why there's like 50+ genders in NY lol and pronouns like Zer or Zim instead of Her or Him.
