How did Nelson lose to Derrick Lewis

Roy is 41 today, happy b-day to Big Country

Not sure if it was the Hunt ko that made him start wrestling more, but he's not the fighter he used to be. He didn't try to knock out that Ayala guy in Bellator and the last time he finished someone was Bigfoot Silva. Still like the guy, but he's on the down side of his career and Lewis was the younger, fresher fighter. It's gonna happen.

But he KO'd big ass Kongo and etc. Why couldnt he do that to Derrick. To me he wasn't aggressive at all in this fight
Because Nelson went from being a KO artist to a shit fighter who only hugs people.

Nelson is one of the most boring fighters out there.

Nelson has basically turned into a wrestler these days. He keeps losing decisions because he works hard to take guys down and then doesn't do anything once he gets them on the ground.

Big Country took a grappling based attack on Lewis. Lots of clinching and top control. Judges favored the few bursts of Lewis's attack on the feet over Nelson's inactive top control. Earlier in his career Nelson just threw hands with reckless abandon. He didn't really do that against Lewis; guessing Nelson didn't want to get into a slugfest with a brawler like Lewis who usually wins those slugfests. Guessing that Nelson's age also may just be catching up with him.

What are you saying, that Kongo and Lewis are similar? Is it because they are black? There are no similarities between the two. Lewis likes to brawl and go for the KO and has an amazing chin, Kongo has a poor chin and likes LNP and does not have a lot of power. Nelson lost because he doesn't have a gas tank and always come in with a terrible game plan. If he could last at least 2 rounds and used his grappling, he could beat Lewis. If he wants to stand and bang, well, it's pretty obvious who would win.
