How does Brock Lesnar have good cardio?

Lol it's not the PED's that give him his cardio.

Cardio is probably more than 50% mental. Who here has done something like run 10k with ease one day, and almost die doing it another day? You can train your mind to control your bodies use of oxygen.

As some of you smarter people above me have said, he has been competing his whole life. He doesn't get nerves, stress, etc like others may which would cause those disastrous adrenaline dumps and mismanagement of his oxygen intake.

He's been running from steroid accusations for 20 years.

Different PED's can do different things. He may quite possibly be on more than one kind of them. He also wrestled fairly competitvely, so there's also the fact that he has extensive experience in training his cardio and knows what works for him.

He's another mountain of muscles like Ngannou yet as far as I remember he was never in trouble cardio-wise, even in fights where he went to the distance (Herrig, Hunt). You would think he'd gass easily upon looking at him but nope, the man has got his cardio game on point.

he was tired as hell against randy, by the end of the first round...breathing mighty hard...he just happened to land a good punch and stop randy...but remember, brock was an ncaa wrestler..and a dam good one...so his cardio has always been good for wrestling...ngannoe never had any such training...

Dictating the pace and where the fight takes place is huge. Cain turned that around on him and he began to gas. Getting sick after the Mir rematch effected his health for that fight as well (after the cain fight had surgery)

If ngannou could have kept the fight standing and at his pace, he would have been fresh as a rose

Lesnar has only gone 15 minutes twice in his MMA career, and both of those fights he spent the bulk of the fight in top position, delivering damage. It's usually more physically draining to defend while taking damage than to simply deliver damage....unless you go ape shit like Carwin did against a turtled opponent.

We've never seen him in a back-and-forth war going 15-25 minutes, so we have no idea what kind of cardio he has.
Completely agree. Guys generally gas under 3 conditions: 1) from winging power shots; 2) from being outgrappled on the ground; or 3) engaging in prolonged clinch battles. We've never seen Brock in any of these situations.

Brock's fights pretty much only go one of two ways. Either he's laying his weight on top of someone and utilizing very measured gnp, or he's getting besmirched on the feet in the first round. We actually have no idea how good his cardio is. I suspect that if he engaged in a striking battle and threw power punches, he'd gas rather quickly.

Only logical reason right here:

He paces himself well and doesn't expend alot of energy except when he needs to. His extensive wrestling background has taught him when to exert force and when to relax. One other thing, Brock has very underated top game. His ability to stay close and generate powerful shots while on top is one of the best in mma.

People think you dont need cardio to f5 the bigshow or do that suplex city on people?

You are wrong.

His cardio looked like crap against Cain. He just didn't have the heart to take a beating for 5 rounds. It's a lot easier to manage your cardio when you arent getting constantly pressured.

He was a wrestler.

IMO this is the single biggest advantage by US fighters. The grind of Wrestling sets them up to be better fighters.

they learn the grind, hard work, weight cutting and the fact that wrestling controls where the fight takes place...not counting a lot of rules that helps a wrestler in that regard.

he has good stamina because he was training cardio his entire life being the high D-1 pedigree of collegiate wrestler his was.
