No Spoilers How does one get a job as a shill?

Disney has a conglomerate of shills consisting of insiders & outsiders.

The insiders are employess involved in the production that create accounts to write positive reviews in order to make the show or movie look good.
Professional Critics also get paid by Disney to write positive reviews.
This is why you never see anything Disney related on any website scored less than an 8.

The outsiders are in 3rd world countries hired to write reviews on IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, Reddit, Amazon, Yelp, etc.
Each shill typically has 5 or 6 accounts listed on each website.
The pay scale is very low for these employees.

12 years ago I had clients that ran one of these in NY. They were old school boiler room stock brokers who set up a giant bull pen and hired dozens college kids going to school for English and journalism to make fake FB, yelp, yahoo and whatever other types of rating accounts were around back then and post positive reviews, etc.. They even had a giant green screen and would put the college girls in diff scenes using products or at places to post pics of them "enjoying products" or "having an awesome time."

Back then they called it "Brand Reputation Management."

Tough Mudder and Corn Nutz were two of their clients. They had a lot of shitty national chain car/restaurants too.

Yes, shills exist. All that is required is zero integrity and a passing knowledge of whatever the arena is in which you are shilling.

A shill is someone who is knowingly and dishonestly puts forth false information for the benefit of whoever it is they are shilling for.

They’re PR people.

First off, are shills really a thing, or is it just a Sherdog Insult?

Are they people already employed by the company in need of shilling, or are they independent contractors like the fighters? - To clarify, although the UFC is the inspiration for my query, general shill info is most welcome.

Does it pay well? How well?

How many hours are you expected to put in?

Finally, what qualifications does one need?

Is anybody reading this a shill?
I think the job titles closest to a shill are:
Social Media Specialist
Content Creator

35k-45k per year for someone in the US

But, realistically you can pay Free.99 if you go the route of intern, foreign labor, or AI.
