25 year old Nogueira would have tripped Francis to the mat and tapped him out in 2 minutes. No question.
Nah, he’d have pulled guard, taken 40 punches to his head, and then subbed him.

"Prime" Nogueira was 225 pounds for start, not a heavyweight by today standards, Ngannou would have 40 pounds of lean mass over him.
Not a fair fight really, Nogueira would go to sleep in 20 seconds, during first exchange.
in the book A Fighter's Heart, the author mentioned Nogueira was nursing an injury just prior to the fight and had to accept the fight on short notice or deal with the yakuzaBob Sapp had 150lbs on him.

You don't think his wins over Rizzo x 2, Randleman, Chuck, Tito, Vitor x 2, Tim, Gonzaga were anything special?Randy is the weakest, most overrated mma legend, albeit he's still an mma legend

Theyre nice wins. But in mma legendry, he's with company like dan henderson, gsp, mighty mouse, fedor, and nog. Each of whom had better victories and were straight dominant against lesser opponents. You don't think his wins over Rizzo x 2, Randleman, Chuck, Tito, Vitor x 2, Tim, Gonzaga were anything special?
Not trying to start you're average Sherdog slagging much, genuinely interested why you rate him so low
If you survive 5 rounds vs Stipe, sorry, but you are competent on the ground. Plus, BJJ for MMA has come light years since Nog was running rough shod over Pride, and Nog has got submitted multiple times, while Ngannou never has.
90% of the current HW division are purple belts or worse on the ground. Pretty much the only guys with any kind of ground game in the division are Stipe, Cain, Werdum, Overeem, Arlovski, and.... that's it lolIf you survive 5 rounds vs Stipe, sorry, but you are competent on the ground. Yeah and Sapp had 100+lbs of lean mass on him. How did that go again?"Prime" Nogueira was 225 pounds for start, not a heavyweight by today standards, Ngannou would have 40 pounds of lean mass over him.
