How Goldberg's streak almost ended...

To be fair, the way he actually lost his streak was pretty dumb. Gave it to a guy who didn't need the put over, and with a cattle prod? Wasted potential right there.
The cattle prod never bothered me too much, they’d built him up to be King Kong in a speedo. How else were they supposed to keep him down for 3.

In a way that could have actually built something. Nash didn't need the win, he just wanted it. He was already a big deal. So breaking that streak didn't do anything so it was built for nothing but here and now ratings. Between self indulgent booking like that, and all the ridiculous russo angles it's no wonder they went belly up.

Nash has also said he never mentioned it after the fact (in defence to Goldberg saying he did it out of spite) but there are loads of promos where he brags about ending the streak.

Nash shoot interviews are entertaoning but he doesn't remember a lot of stuff right and he makes a lot of stuff up as a result in order to be entertaining and put himself over.

There's a lot more to it than that. Bischoff and some other people pooled some money together to buy WCW for a good price and got nowhere then Vince bought it for $1M. Something weird amd probably illegal happened there.

Yeah Nash really likes to make himself look like the super star of each tale he tells it seems.

I think if you watch the match and know what you're looking at, you can see him giving Goldberg openings and Goldberg just isn't doing anything with them.

Add to that, Regal has a rep fir being a straight talker and Goldbeeg has a rep for being a crybaby and a mark for himself.
Regal gave him the opportunity to work and he wasn’t good enough to do so. Regal had to lead the dance with a guy that could barely stand.
