I’d say Daley is held in much higher regard to serious fans and peers than Perry is and likely ever will be.

True, and for the most part its simply because he's a better fighter.

But at least part is because he fights outside the UFC. If Perry fought in Bellator, most current Perry fans would have never heard of him and most current Perry haters would be ranking him in the top five.
