Yeah, it was a chore to watch the end of Sons of Anarchy, and when it finally was over I just kind of shrugged with relief. I know the whole ending had some kind of overwhelming poetic Shakesperean resonance in Kurt Sutter's head, but that didn't make it onto the screen the way he saw it, plus it took too long to get there.

I still say nothing tops Dexter and 24 when it comes to shitting the bed immediately after season 5 ends.

LOL, agreed.

Dexter especially for me, but 24 jumped an entire school of sharks as well.

Dexter should have ended after season 4, imo.

Why? Watch one of the numerous other better shows out there, read a book, watch porn and crank it a few times...anything but more Sons of Anarchy.

The CGI in the end was horrendously bad and the show started to truly go downhill when Clay met Mr. Mayhem

On the flip side Breaking Bad went on just long enough and had one of the best endings I've seen in television. The same goes for The Wire even though I know some people don't like the final season that much because it focuses a lot on the news but still the ending montage is amazing. Really shows that the life goes and for the most part the dynamics in the city never change

Take note Kurt this is how you end a TV show
 
Show went from top tier to Dexter Season 6-8 tier, in the span of two seasons.

I don't know how anyone stuck with it.
 
I enjoyed the whole show, but did feel at times they were stretching it out just to get another season or 2 even. as mentioned...
by the time Tara dies (in a pretty damn graphic manner imo) you are back to liking her...that show was crazy at making you hate/like people at different times, and some of them I even thought "man this guy is the worst of the worst" then I'd start to like them and get worried that meant they were gonna die hard lol

Yea I enjoyed the whole show also. Surprised so many didn't like it. I thought the ending was really good as well. Basically just killed everybody they needed to kill and then killed himself, was crazy.

My gf is a big fan of the show so I watch with her. At least she's not making me watch something like Gilmore Girls
 
I liked the show but damn did that final season drag out, 90 minute episodes with a series finale that tried too hard.

Random part that made me laugh my ass off was Clay on oxygen in one scene and then it switched over to him lifting and looking extra swole in the next scene cause of course he was up to some shady shit
 
You should've stopped watching after the S3 finale.
Concerning Tara -

She dies. Killed by Gemma. S6 finale.
 
Oh man, I forgot all about the Bastard Executioner. Sutter is the Vince Russo of TV writers.
 
Starts strong, but man that show gets cartoonishly bad. I remember their was a fairly active "live" thread here for the show at the time, and it got completely derailed by a lot of us just shitting on how bad the show was. Trust me, it only gets worse.
 
So pathetic how many chicks were into this show.. Mostly Trash that would spread their legs on the first night quick style...
 
I'm glad I finished the series, but I wouldn't recommend it.
 
I recently binged seaons 4-7(cause fuck me, right?). Season 4 was a lot better than I remembered. It really rebounded things and was very compelling with the Sons getting into drugs for the first time. You could feel their conflict and tension. Man oh man though 5, 6 and 7 are a tough sit. Those should have all been combined into one final season and the show would've been remembered in a much better standing.
This scene of them leaving prison is awesome. One of the best in the series


and I just never felt sorry for Tara. She knew exactly what she was getting into. She knew SAMCRO, she ran back to Jax for help and got back involved with the life willingly. Then she tries to act all surprised that this isn't the best environment to raise children in. No fucking kidding. She brought everything on herself and was no better than anyone in the club like she pretended to be.
 
Overrated show. Can't believe some people claim it's the best thing ever to be on tv.
 







The music montages jumped the shark by the end but they did have some damn good songs
