Something to do with how Korean words used to be spelled in English back in the day. When they first started to spell Korean words in English, they did it by trying to mimic how written Korean uses vowels, which makes no sense to do in English. Like, in Korean if you put together the vowel that sounds like Ah with the vowel that sounds like Ee, you get "eh." So something like the city of Daejon, which is pronounced "Deh-jon" is spelled DAEjon. Which confuses westerners who sometimes pronounce it "Da-eh-jon."

Had it a few times. My grandmother is old school so she would get some once a year and share some with me. I'm against the dog meat industry for how they treat the animals (although I'm not against eating dog in itself) but if it's already bought and in front of me, why the fuck not. The only time I bought it was when a British guy I know really wanted to try some so I took him.
First time I hear about Koreans eating giant bugs. Grasshoppers used to be popular way back in the day but I don't hear about people eating them anymore. I only had it once as a kid. The only bug Koreans eat are silkworm larva which isn't very popular these days. You'll see them sold on the street in paper cups. Smells nasty, doesn't taste great, and I think they use a lot of chemicals to preserve them. I bought some once to see if carp and pigeons would eat it and even they won't touch that shit.

I personally think the DMZ tour is one of the things you should do if you come. Pretty unique experience I'd say. I don't remember but I think it's a 2 hour bus ride. The drive up their reminds you that this is a country still at war despite the relative luxury people in Seoul live in.

As mentioned before the DMZ if you haven't done that is an interesting experience. Depends on what you're looking for. Honestly, the area around the palaces and Seoul Tower (now called N Tower) is all of the touristy stuff I know of in Seoul. The area around the palace itself is huge though so you could explore that again. City hall, the man-made stream, there's a mountain near the Blue House, etc. There's also the National museum (forgot the exact name in English) south of Itaewon by Ichon Station that's cool. The museum is huge, and free, and has a lot of historical artifacts like weapons and armor and paintings. If you're into that kind of stuff, there's also the War Memorial as well.
Cycling from Inchon to Busan sounds fun, and very difficult. I wanted to go from Seoul to Busan a couple years ago but never got around to it. The weather in August is going to be punishing though.
Yes most of my friends are white guys actually. And yes, Korean women are fucking crazy. Koreans go from 0 to 100 over nothing and women are no different. Crazy jealous, crazy insecure, possessive, quick to anger. I think it's simply a reflection of the collective Korean psychology. My parents, teachers, trainer, and guy friends were the same. Women I dated were even worse.

Last time I was there I had the opportunity to do the DMZ tour but it really doesn't appeal to me I guess. We did the museum last time and also the gallery shaped like a shiny silver UFO. We also did the street art walking tour. I think Seoul is a pretty cool city if you have a guide and translator. Probably looking to see some of the East coast this time. My wife's family treats me like a king so I'm sure there will be a few feasts and Soju nights. I'm sure the heat won't be a problem, we are originally from Australia and been in the NY humidity for 3 years now. Korean women are no crazier than any other women.

So Latinos in Korea; smash or nah? I dated an American Korean girl once, she was dope. I hated her peeps though all assholes. Theyd give her tons of shit for dating me. Mind you Im the only one not living at home and Im still catching shit from her friends. She had this one kid, we were both in the same PChem class. Juice head, jumped down my throat at the gym once for dating her, I Diaz Bros slapped him, dude had no idea what to do. He roid rushed me, my best friend sees the roid rush and BLANG left shin to the dome. Next day we review the tape, I get fired, was working out that day but worked at the gym, juicey gets a citation from campus police, my boy gets banned from the gym area. Mind you he was still allowed to use the downstairs gym, with machine weights and all the cardio stuff, but no weight room, racket ball, basketball. Ahh to be young again!

Koreans drink quite a lot and quite often. More than most cultures that I know of. People will stay up all night getting wasted and end it by getting some food along with soju and beer in the morning. It's not hard to see people passed out or puking on the street and subways.

Almost all Korean porn is amateur stuff shot with a cellphone. Shooting porn in Korea is illegal except for softcore porn so that's a hard question to answer. Most professionally shot porn available in Korea is Japanese.
