If he's overrated what does that make legends Randy Couture, Frank Mir and Mark Hunt? Carwin was also legit and Heath Herring was a good upper-mid level guy too.

Brock was a guy who could hang with legit top 10 guys with barely any experience = not overrated

Mir, Couture and Hunt are legends and exciting fighters but they never were world beaters. All three lost plenty of times, in fact more times than Brock ever stepped in the octagon

And Carwin was inches from stopping Brock, maybe different ref would have stopped the fight. The Brock's hype comes solely from his short MMA tenure. Had he stayed for more his record would look much worse and there won't be so much Brock-related threads here.

Imagine Brock Lesnar returning full time and fighting JDS / Ngannou / Werdum / Overeem and finally Stipe or DC. You would pick him in all those fights ? Honestly? I wouldn't be surprised if 60% of those guys would finish him violently.

Stipe and DC would probably beat him, so would Werdum and Overeem (again) if they haven't declined too much (but it's possible they have gotten worse enough for Brock to win) but Brock would have a solid chance to beat JDS and Ngannou IMO. He can be a top 5 guy though depending on how much he's lost.

Brock was pretty much clean during the Mark Hunt fight. Failed USADA test was a fluke. But clean or not - he is insanely overrated.

Not really, Shane Carwin was probably the closest to Brock in size strength and experience, he should have lost, but didn't. The only fighter that made Brock look bad was Cain, who was giving up around 40lbs to Brock.
