Imagine the cunning weasels in the boxing world being so dim as to strip their only major draw of his title, right after he fought the greatest MMA fighter in history, producing a staggering performance that won the hearts and minds of the MMA world and the respect of it's critics? Becoming the most talked about athlete on earth in the process?

Don't be silly, they'd be very patient with him and ultimately he would get his way. You saw the rules they bent to make the Floyd fight happen and 8 oz gloves. Look what they did to accommodate Tyson and his behaviour. Boxing would LMAO at Dana and company if they dared strip their champ of his rightful title, after all he has done to raise the profile of their brand during this period of "inactivity".

We know, that's one of the things we all hate about boxing. Handing out belts like little league trophies.

The boxing world would absolutely do it. They already strip guys when they don't pay for the belt or refuse to fight their mandatory opponent.

must be because conor is a manlet.

Boxing's alphabet soup of orgs tend to strip any champ who doesn't defend against their chosen challenger.

I remember Riddick Bowe dropping a title in the garbage when the org stripped him.

Too many orgs on too many networks, tough for two promoters/managers to shelve their egos and equitably split the money.

This^^^^^

If a boxing champ refused to defend then went to UFC and got embarrassed they would absolutely be stripped. And ridiculed forever.

if a boxing champ came to the UFC and fought an mma champ I would assume that the boxing champ had some title defenses

Maybe that's how Conor is doing it. He's literally buying time with the belt, making monthly payments. Wouldn't put it past WME to come up with 'beltpass' for it's champions. Fight a contender or join 'beltpass' and for a $9,999 a month fee you can keep your belt as long as you want, cancel anytime.

This boxing sport seems legit. I might have a look.

Lol this, I guess TS is braindead and doesn’t realize that boxing already has a system in place which strips champs of the belt when they refuse to defend.

Boxing stripped a world champ over $200,000. GTFO.

"Staggering Performance"? If you mean Conor was staggering at the end...well you're right there.

...and they would absolutely strip him.
