Infowars And Alex Jones Banned On Multiple Online Platforms

This is probably the best thing to happen to the video hosting market and a terrible thing for politics..

AJ has a huge following, and will bring millions of viewers, and hence new content creators to whatever platform he thrives on (can't believe Pornhub won't let him on lol). Youtube needs more western competition. They've been awful towards its content creators, at least those who don't have the "right" message. How a channel like TYT and its hate whitey messages are supported and promoted by YT is disturbing to me.

On the negative, AJ is going to become a martyr to his millions of radio/website followers. He'll milk this for all it's worth. All the MSM coverage will lead to new people looking into him, creating a Streisand effect. The anti liberal/pro Trump resolve from his base is only going to grow stronger and more illogical. We need less radicalization from either side, this won't help.

Banning him could be a slippery slope too, as "hate speech" is very subjective and could lead to those with similar messages, with far less tinfoil, getting banned too. At the very least, it's a giant red flag seeing multiple corporations act in step like that.
All these banning, brought more and more people to his website

One day soon there will be an alternative to YouTube, they have run their platform basically into the ground. It’s blatantly obvious how they side

I agree with you. And I believe, no matter who is in charge, this will continue happening. We are arguing with each other over things we all agree on, in support of our parties continuing to strip rights away. So what the hell are we doing? We shouldn't be arguing over left vs right, we should be trying to get someone in there that actually represents the people. What has the government done to our benefit in our life times? Not a single thing. So we better wake up soon and pull our heads out.

It's probably too late at this point, but cheering on as we lose all rights, in the name of these parties, doesnt seem like the thing we should be doing, but what do I know I'm just some asshole sherdogger.

Your best post of the thread, finally agreeing with me.

An excellent use of de-platforming. Rather than being motivated by identity politics or fear of facing unpleasant truths or dissent, it's motivated by a defense of truth and decency against one of its most effective enemies, the stomping out of falsehoods and con artistry. Patriotic, as well. The mass butthurt hysteria to come is merely a bonus.

You're the kind of moron who thinks Ben Shapiro is anti-identity politic.. while shoving his Zionism down our throats.

What a fucking hypocrite.

Why would you listen to anything Ben Shapiro has to say? Oh I see you are a white belt NVM

I'll be honest, I always expected one of the parents to snap and shoot him. Although if he lived he would be an even more insufferable cunt than he already is.

Uh, I think you missed wide left there trolling duder.

Shapiro is definitely all about identity politics in any case.

He's not banned from the internet and your analogy is hella flawed.

He's in the town square but he enters into someone's restaurant (FB) he violates their rules and they kick him out and bar him from using their establishment. He's still allowed to spew his bullshit in the streets, he just can't get into certain establishments within town-square.
My analogy was spot on.

We were talking about infowars.com being banned of the internet....thats like being banned from the streets like I said.

My comment had nothing to do with facebook.

Pay attention kid

He declares himself a libertarian, yet is complaining about being at the mercy of private companies that have granted him the privilege of greatly furthering his career through their platforms until eventually deciding they don't want to further do business with him.

I don't get it, do conservatives want some kind of affirmative action program to be more represented in private universities and private media corporations? That's not a very free market thought process.

Infowars isn't banned from the internet. I was just on it a couple of minutes ago, and Infowars is still hosted on a private company's data center, which makes your analogy still flawed. Backpage is a website that's actually banned from the Internet.

We need all of these

But we ESPECIALLY need the cigar one
@Lethal what do we need to do to get some alex Jones smileys?

I haven't had the software to make animated emojis in months, I always get them from shoop artists. The one where he wipes his forehead has potential, and it's not a reaction that's common in the emoji section.

Let's see, Alex opposed all the wars that CNN lied us into. Yes, this makes perfect sense.

Rafia Zakaria: It's an important step in recognizing hate speech as a form of terrorism

It's pretty scary that the left is selling this idea that offensive speech is not free speech and they are buying it. If you truly believe this, there is nothing stopping you from Amending the constitution to officially ban what they call 'hate speech'

Just hope to hell that your government never goes as far as mine appears to be doing, in order to "combat hate speech". They are creating mobile phone apps, "command centers", government-funded projects to take down what they deem to be "hate speech" (which in reality is basically anything that goes against the mainstream narrative).

Just now, there has been a huge outrage because of a Catholic Christian politician making statements that are anti-abortion, and a call to ban the "independent thinking" of government officials, by leftist parties.

People are literally being convicted of crimes for saying stuff like "not all Muslims are terrorist, but all terrorism in Europe is committed by Muslims". Once you reach that point, there's no going back.

Cherish your First Amendment because above all, it's the greatest one you've got, and the most important in ensuring that the others will exist, too.

Once these people start winning more seats in government, they will absolutely push Silicon Valley ideologies in government because they have already proven they fundamentally support censorship.

The China model is a blueprint for these people. And it appears that more and more governments are starting to emulate the Chinese in how they control their citizenship.

America needs to remain as the strongest voice for liberty, to prevent the future from becoming a technologically assisted dystopia, which it very well easily could be.

We laugh at the Chinese and how illiberal they are, but they too were sold on the idea of compromising freedoms for safety, and they actually had legitimate reasons to fear violence and disruptions of society, considering the sheer brutality of their recent history. In our case, we are selling our asses to global tyranny because we've literally become so pampered that we fear our own shadows.
