Internet rages after Google removes “view image” button, bowing to Getty

Time to give Bing a chance.

Bing is better in this regard. With Bing, you can even watches videos without visiting the website.

Didn't see a thread on this. I have tried to copy and paste images and couldn't.

This week, Google Image Search is getting a lot less useful, with the removal of the "View Image" button. Before, users could search for an image and click the "View Image" button to download it directly without leaving Google or visiting the website. Now, Google Images is removing that button, hoping to encourage users to click through to the hosting website if they want to download an image.

The next thing is the porn hosting sites will force people to go to the original site to watch video.

this is it. this is the beginning of the downfall of Google.

Calling it now, 10 years from now people will barely remember what "google" is/was

You seriously underestimate what Google is and its not a search engine.

I notice this a couple of days ago and was like WTF? I even pulled up other browsers to make it wasn't some kind of weird browser issue.

Already found a workaround though. Just right-click and select "Copy Image Location" and it copies the direct image URL to the clipboard.

Problem solved.

This is what I usually do anyway tbh

I already left Google on account no matter what I search Bing eventually leads to some seriously gay-ass porn.

Seriously, man. What cocktail aren't you on today?

Oh, also Google can go fuck themselves.

Google is like the Frankenstein of companies. They scare me a little bit. Just as an example, they are investing hundreds of millions of dollars into figuring out how to make you live for hundreds of years. I'm not talking about fighting disease, they are going balls deep on defeating aging itself. A search engine. Seriously, wtf, and that is only one such thing they are delving into.

Same here. This new development actually makes it easier (for now) to copy images in the forums, before they seemed to have a lot of gifs that were hidden as 'videos' and harder to copy. I'm sure they will fix that soon enough just to fuck with me though
