In his defense a full blown sociopath has no remorse and care for nothing but himself, that is not Dana. Over the years everyone has seen him care for people and do things that weren't in his best interest ie talk Chuck into retiring etc. Plenty of promoters would have milked Chucks brain for every cent they could and a lot of managers as well.

Chuck and Hughes's jobs were money for nothing and others as well.

Could he be more generous? Of course but so could everyone.

That's not a philosophical question. The answer is yes: someone can be a sociopath and be aware at times that they are a sociopath.

Sociopathy is not defined as the incapacity to correctly identify or classify oneself, but rather implies an incapacity to adapt and act in accordance with and in benefit of other individuals and society as a whole.
