Is feminism a dirty word?

Which means hygiene takes a step up in importance with the ladies. Not washing your head for a week won't attract all the feral cats. No what I'm sayin'?

Dude, that shits caused by a yeast infection or an std. the first is caused by washing inside the v. the second is caused by your own poor taste in women. no dis.

http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/vaginal-discharge/Pages/Introduction.aspx

There are many possible causes of abnormal vaginal discharge, but it's usually a sign of infection. The infection is often caused by something that upsets the natural balance of bacteria or yeast in your vagina, such as washing inside the vagina, or it may be sexually transmitted.

How am i the only one who knows this? Dont you guys get sex ed? I hope im being trolled here.

While this thread is about as douchey as it gets, it's not as aggressively misinformed as other similar threads.

But, no, feminism is no dirtier a word than socialism, another term arbitrarily muddied by scared people wishing to scare dumber scared people.

So is femininism for equality or sameness?

In before Atheist hijacks the fuck out of this thread.

It's already been hijacked, thank the great spaghetti monster in the sky.

The tiresome feminist debate has been resolved, at least for me.

Feminists, as humanists = good. Feminazis, as crazed antagonistic females = bad and icky.

Thanks Sherdog.

I think it is.
Whenever i hear it i feel like i've been smothered by hairy lesbians that havent showered in days.

Feminism to me is autonomy. This often gets lost in the sauce when people band together for a common cause. But, overall, it could be properly antagonistic, should trifling with a woman's independence be a thing of yours. Coupling is natural. Wanting to stay home while a guy provides is perfectly fine. But independence is often something you have to fight for. And if you're perceived as the 'weaker' sex, you might have to fight harder.

I just think women use it in the same terms as a black man would talk about slaves, and to me that is horrid

i've never found a vagina that smelt fishy. i don't know why this myth has been around for so many years, its ridiculous.

i'm a feminist and obviously i'm all for feminism.
when you see what women went thru just to be taken seriously and listened to, let alone everything else, you can appreciate the progress made.
in britain in the early 1900s women had to fight for the vote. it got quite nasty at time, the demonstrations and the like.there was a fair bit of violence at times too.

however i think feminism, actually women, have gone backwards. a lot of women don't care because they've not lived in a time when so many things were stacked against them because of their gender.
they've not had the prejudice, they've only known the fruits of what was acheived year before.
personally i think there should be some pro-active female organisations. not sure if thats the correct word? more aggressive and forceful for a particular wrong that needs righting.

one reason that makes me feel like this is the attitude i see on forums such as this one. so many do not have respect for women, thats easy to see. i dont know if its all just bravado amongst guys or what?
unfortunately the word feminism is a red rag to a lot of men. they simply don't get it. they don't have a fucking clue! if a person hasn't experienced prejudice and unfairness just because of their gender, its difficult to have empathy.
there are no equal rights. womens rights in the west is becoming more unequal because of muslim immigrants. islam is nothing but a big 'boys club' and they hate females. for many females the men control every part of their lives.that is definitely unequal.
in turn they teach their kids to act the same way, and so on.

Western feminism is about having your cake and eating it too. Fabricating pressing social issues for the media (the whole "rape culture" thing), and creating news (IE "less than 50% of fortune 500 CEO's are women, this is a result of discriminatory policies! We need government intervention and affirmative action policies for CEO's based on gender!"). All while men still have to pay child support and lose the house in the divorce that they didn't want. Not to mention women still prefer traditional gender roles when it suits them (like in dating).

Feminism is a very broad idea. It's not simply believing in equality except in the most reductive sense, although that is the definition that many feminists will insist on if you try to criticize the rest. While I believe in equality (particularly equality of opportunity, not necessary outcome because that ignores choice), I can definitely see that there are majors problems in the feminist movement of today. I tend not to have any problems with someone that casually identifies as a feminist but the more extreme examples (and there seem to be more and more of these) are pretty perturbing.

3 year necromancy

i'm impressed

Mrs no mates can be as feminist as she wants , just as long as my dinners on the table when I get in from work .
