As we’ve all seen recently in Hollywood, if you are accused of anything considered sexually inappropriate by ANY woman, you lose your job.

Whether or not you’re guilty means nothing at this point. You get accused, you are gone. It’s that simple.

Is this just the entertainment industry or does this happen in every workplace, for every profession. If someone at your job were accused of some sort of harassment, would they be automatically canned, no questions asked?

its a by product of most corporate places. If they see that your reputation could damage their brand, they will fire you. Mere accusation alone will accomplish this a lot of the time but do we have any example of hollywood guy getting accused fired and then being found not guilty?

It's wide spread, but holly weird is known for it.

Actors are looked at as puppets to producers and big wigs. They can make you a star and take it away just as fast.

So as a women will you escort a guy on a date and perform sex acts for fame.
As a parent will you lend your child to these people for. Day or 2.

Holly weird is a sick sick industry and the actors are damaged people from what they have seen or been through

No, it's not. People have been accused that didn't lose their jobs. Those that did had really damning evidence behind.

All you incels need to calm down. Some Feminazi isn't going to accuse you and get you fired from Burger King

They fire people now, but looked the other way the past 40 years. holllywood is full of hypocrites

Human thinking tends to require an overreaction to a reaction in the absence of strong leadership with an eye towards justice.

Let us not forget that they want to save their asses in the opposite direction.

The hypocrites now must wield the torches to purge their ranks of the afflicted...

Lest they be condemned for going too soft or saying something wrong, or offensive, that goes against the dramatic shift of narrative from "boys will be boys (with power)..." to "#Metoo, off with their testicles!"

The lines of power will shift around till enough outrage has been expressed or the mob finds a new target other than lecherous and vulnerable power brokers and "talent."

Then to some extent "nature" will reestablish new ways for powerful guys and ambitious or vulnerable girls to get what they want, or to be abused in turn.

Caesar's wife must be above suspicion. Actors make a living selling an image of themselves to the public. Once that perception is that their image has become tainted, they are damaged goods.

This is also part of it, anyone in entertainment, or in life is selling an image one way or another.

A businessman in his suit, a poet with his eccentricity, or anywhere in life, if you are wise you know the image people are looking for, and the image you want to show them.

"Papa" Hemingway and Revolutionary Ali in equal parts knew who they were, or were sold as an idea to the people.

yeah, it took years of women accusing Weinstein for him to finally get exposed but sure all it takes is one woman.

Im not hearing a bunch of denials from the accused - its basically, "yep, sorry, headed to counciling"

When there is a heavy accusation and the accused says "fuck no i didnt do that" thats when this gets interesting, but my suspicion is those getting getting accused have it coming to them

YOu get fired in Hollywood but you can still get elected in Alabama.

damning evidence = more than a few people accusing the same person

In industry where men hold in ordinary amount of power over young impressionable people and this will happen. Our politicians are not immune either, they just know it's best to deny, deny, deny.

This guy folks, does not know what he's talking about.

take it case by case

Weinstein was caught on tape, and it was damning. That one comedian admitted to it, and I think Spacey as well.

This is closer to the truth than claims of unjustified firings. It seems that many of these guys had reputations long before they had publicized accusations. But so long as they made money, generated viewers and their indiscretions didn't make the front page news, they kept their jobs. Now that it's front page, they're getting fired.
