IS Khabib the GOAT if he beat Ferguson and then Conor

Close but no cigar:

No that's Bernard hopkims, Hopkins wanted the Mayweather fights a decade ago at 154 but Mayweather wouldn't do it, he fought two guys at 154, de la Hoya ano canelo, both had little to zero defense, Hopkins would have Mopped Mayweather up a nd gonna made him look silly, there's a reason Mayweather didn't want that fight when Hopkins was the Middle weight champion

Hopkins has never fought at 154

Find an atlas some time. Expand your mind. The world is bigger than Ireland, Caucus & That 70s Show Land.

Healy should NEVER have been a top ten, he's a journeyman under the best of circumstances. And that RDA was nowhere near the caliber fighter he is now. Perhaps they were ranked up there, but not quality wins. Barboza and MJ are legit, however.

1) you don't know shit about the lw division if you don't realize rda was already a killer around the time khabib defeated him; he was in the middle of a solid win streak, and en route to another one which would eventually culminate in the lw crown.

2) your selective bias ignores and dismisses the fact that khabib has more top ten wins than he was given credit for, which is what that poster was responding to; it doesn't matter if you think they were great or not, they were in fact top ten.

What do you mean by that ? Are you saying Conor is a 5 round fighter ? Lol come on now

No. Conor would almost certainly knock him out in the first, if Khabib has a crazy chin he might last until the 2nd, but there is absolutely zero chance in hell Conor would get to start 5 rounds on the feet and not KO a striker like Khabib

That RDA was in the middle of a potential 10 fight win streak, if it wasn't for Khabib. He was at his PEAK. You're kidding yourself suggesting he was anything else.

Pat Healy was coming off a 7 fight winstreak coming in from newly-acquired Strikeforce. Including wins over Jim Miller and Maximo Blanco, big names at the time.

Khabib is 9-0 in the UFC. His record before the UFC is extremely padded. I think Tony has the skillset to beat him so would a guy like Kevin Lee.

Do you understand that Conor in the 1st and 2nd round is not the same fighter when starting at 3rd or even less at the 5th?

He said he would have moved down, when he was the 160 champ, but Mayweather wouldn't do it, he had the 154 title one time when he beat de la hoya, but wouldn't fight Hopkins at that weight

Considering his previous victory over RDA (although not the version we knew as champ) I would say yes.

Physically RDA was not the same fighter then that went on to be champ. He was much thinner. Still a quality win but It wasn't his peak. Compare his two Cerrone fights.

Just GOAT?

I thought you meant LW GOAT but I wouldn't even say he has that if he beats Ferg and Connie.

Out of his whole resume, he has only 2 really good wins (Edson and RDA). The Johnson, Tavares, etc. wins are good but nothing spectacular.

If he beats Connie and Fergie I think he would need about 11 or 12 more consecutive wins over solid names before he is in GOAT conversation.

Hed be in the discussion

He got his ass beat at 135, that's the entire reason he went to 125.

14-2 record at bantamweight. Only lost to Cruz and Pickett.

Went to 125 because it was closer to his actual weight. Since undefeated.

Are you confusing him with someone or did you just wikipedia things?

GSP fought the best for years as a champion. Khabib would need to own LW and fight the best for as long if not longer.
Also, Khabib would need retire for 4 years and take welterweight title on the comeback
