No. He is promising, but he needs to prove it. As of now, it looks like he doesn’t want anything to do with the UFC.
You don't have to have great TDD to be a winner.Volkov's guard and ability to work off the back has always been solid. He triangle choked Smoldarev who is a pretty solid HW,submitted Blagoi Ivanov and almost caught Tony Johnson in a kimura. So it wasn't too surprising that he was able to retent guard and defend himself on the ground against Werdum. His TDD is still horrible though so nothing has really changed much since his Bellator and M1 days. Werdum took him down at will in 1st and 2nd round
cringeWhat a surprise, @SKITZADACTYL having trouble controlling his fragile emotions yet again...
Any contributions to the subject at hand m8?
hey, genius, since you think these gifs prove some kind of point, please show me a heavyweight who does not have similar gifs throughout their career?@Final Say Back at it dickriding Stipe as if he's this unbeatable god
Stipe couldn't finish a completely drained Ngannou for 3 rounds while being in a dominant position pretty much the whole fight as well. He isn't the GOAT HW.
I'd EASILY favor Prime Cain over Stipe, as well as Minakov.
I've never heard of him. So no.

and who else has completely drained ngannou the way stipe did? or been dominant over him for even one round, let alone 5? who has finished him?
your logic is terrible. stipe right now would beat every fighter in history in an mma fight, period.
is that cisse? loljust sayin'
To be fair... Cain would dominate Ngannou worst than Stipe did.hey, genius, since you think these gifs prove some kind of point, please show me a heavyweight who does not have similar gifs throughout their career?

oh? he would, would he? stipe narrowly avoided ngannou's offense due to his boxing skill. boxing skill cain does not have. so it is not a given, in my opinion, that cain would beat him.To be fair... Cain would dominate Ngannou worst than Stipe did.
Ngannou is the most overhyped fighter out there. I would pick a smarter Overeem, JDS, Blaydes (rematch, yes), Werdum, Brock, HW Rumble and Hunt over him. Also Tybura and Tuivasa would be 50/50.
is that cisse? lol
that was a close decision, not dominant at all. plus ngannou came a long way. people shit all over him just because stipe made him look bad. they forgot what ngannou was prior to the stipe fight, like hes something different now.
also, they said stipe would lose because it was his first fight against someone who wasnt old and washed up.
the goalposts forever shift
I just think Ngannou is horrible and many people lose to him because they are terrified. For example Overeem.oh? he would, would he? stipe narrowly avoided ngannou's offense due to his boxing skill. boxing skill cain does not have. so it is not a given, in my opinion, that cain would beat him.
that being said, i do believe its possible. i think youre disrespecting him a little bit too much, but i wont speculate on the other match ups you named.
