I’m grateful to have a good job and a nice home and a son. I know most of he world is struggling compared to us.

But if we lived in a world where we didn’t have to work or provide, we could spend all our time achieving our goals.

1. Physical fitness. Everyone could be lean, ripped and strong if they weren’t exhausted from the office.

2. Art and music. Everyone could play multiple instruments, be amazing at dancing, singing.

3. Sports- you could find out how amazing you really could be at all the sports you love.

4. Sex- We could be sleeping with beautiful women every day.

So much of our life is wasted in the struggle for food and shelter, although not as much as Neanderthal man.

Actually...Neanderthal man may not have had it that bad. We look at primitive cultures and think, thank heavens for modern convenience!!! But, if you look at hunter gatherer cultures today, most of them spend only 2-4 hours doing what we would call work. The rest is just relaxing around the village and dancing and sex.

There was a poster on this site in the Mayberry complaining about his no good bum brother who got kicked out of the military.

This guy spent all day crashing on his brothers couch, collecting unemployment, working out, getting ripped and banging chicks in the neighborhood. One of them lived in the same apartment complex and was married to a man who came and knocked on the door. He confronted the TS about his little brother banging the neighbors wife.

He put His older brother in danger. Who’s to say the husband wouldn’t have come to the door with a gun?

One obvious difference of course is that resources were more evenly divided, much of the more extreme workload modern humans carry out ultimately goes to the benefit of a rich elite.

Just quit your job, I've done it multiple times. One of the best feelings in the world walking out of a shit job and never looking back.

If you're smart you can make your own money. It's technically still working, but you live on your own terms.

Unfortunately making your own money isn't fool proof and you'll make a few errors before you get it right, which can land you back in the workforce for a while till you get another shot.

When you farm for your own food on your own land and then have free time to do whatever else you want, that is perhaps more freedom than having to work 80 hours a week at a shit job.
