"We were trying for the fight to happen in the United States, or at the very least some kind of neutral territory, and we just couldn't make that deal," Salita exclusively told Sky Sports.

Once-beaten heavyweight Hughie Fury is next in line to fight Pulev - and the sanctioning body is expected to send him an invitation to face the Bulgarian boxer in the final eliminator.

The winner of the eliminator will become the mandatory challenger to champion Anthony Joshua, who also holds the WBA, WBO, IBO world titles.

Nobody going to Bulgaria for 25% of the purse, where you'll probably need a knockout just to get a draw. Miller and Whyte can just wait Pulev out and if negotiations with Wilder fall through again they both stand good chances of being picked to fight Joshua anyways. Stupid to risk that for an uphill battle.

    Pulev vs Hughie Fury?
    Oh good lord NO!

Both of these guys take too many light touches.... They risk it once, then it's back to beating Chauncey Welliver.
