Because even assuming for the sake of argument that there was no underlying crime relating to Russian interference with the election, Donald Trump has probably engaged in so many shady shit over the decades that he's probably scared shitless that any sort of close scrutiny of his affairs will turn up evidence of any number of prosecutable stuff.

Hence he obstructs the investigation.

There is no argument that Trump committed a crime with regard to Russian interference. That's a real problem for Mueller. Evidently it's a problem for you too! What will you say when Mueller ends up in jail and not Trump?

Not necessarily. The DOJ can prosecute if it has the evidence it needs.

I'm giving it until the IG report comes out, and then maybe a little longer if it mentions Brennan.

Well, not really, if you take the station's credibility into account. Maybe their whole news division isn't fraudulent but their opinion hosts sure do seem to have a problem with the truth.
