Josh Thomson did in 8 minutes what Conor couldn't do in 30.

Conor is not the hardest hitter ever, but he does have above average power. And Nate Diaz has an iron chin so if you can land a head kick instead of punch it will do more damage.

Sure it does. Thomson's punches allowed him to set up his KO kick. Conor was not powerful enough to do the same. This isn't that hard to follow guys, try and keep up.

So now you're just going to pretend you're trolling after you were exposed as an idiot. Got it.

Conor would wreck Thompson

MMAth doesn't add up.

Josh Thomson, a fighter that has never been known for his power, was able to not only stop Diaz, but get his corner to throw in the towel in under 3 rounds with strikes. Conor couldn't do this with 2 chances and over a half hour's worth of fighting. Yet we're led to believe Conor has "once in a lifetime" power. I don't get it. Conor has a strong left hand but nothing we haven't seen many times before. He's a great marketer but he's going to fall hard. And very soon...

Conor attempted many headkicks and missed so........

When people say "power" in regards to Conor McGregor, most of the time they're talking about his accuracy. His power isn't anything special. Also, Conor is not known for roundhouse kicks.

What are you talking about? Power and the ability to set up strikes don't necessarily have anything to do with one another. Conor's hands are more powerful and accurate than Thompson. Thompson has better kicks.

Which still has nothing to do with power. So many logic fails.
It does though. Thomson's punches were enough for Diaz to allow him to land a head kick. While Conor's never allowed him to get close.

At least he is fighting and improving

It could be argued that his rate of improvement has dwindled down to little or nothing. Even if you don't believe that, do you believe that his rate of improvement is worth the brain damage, which should in turn further decrease said rate? In short, taking brain damage is not worth the improvement when you're an aging fighter. Eventually, you're going to do more harm than good. You'll just be getting worse. Him and Rashad Evans aren't that far from Chuck Liddel.

Comparing Josh Thompson and Conor McGregor skill wise is moot. At their primes they exist(ed) in different times, with different skill sets and strategies. In terms of legacy, there is no comparison.

You FOOL!!!

He doesn't care about falling, he is in it to make cash money and get out of the game. He doesn't give a fook about legacy or rise and fall. In episode 2 of the May-Mac, he said he got in to martial arts for self-defense and not for the aspiration of being a world champ.
I think Conor cares about all that a lot more than you think

It does though. Thomson's punches were enough for Diaz to allow him to land a head kick. While Conor's never allowed him tonget close.

Under the assumption that they were trying to employ the same strategy. Setting up head kicks isn't the sole purpose of punches. They have many different functions.

Thomson wasn't trying to set up a head kick (at least I think.) The opportunity presented itself after he landed enough punches to soften Diaz's defense.

And where is Josh now, and where is Conor?

The guys got one TKO loss on his record. Da fuc u talking about. Fedor who many see as the goat has more TKO losses than that...

And where is Josh now, and where is Conor?
Josh is 38 and was fighting dudes when Conor was still a zit poppin middle schooler. Let's see if Conor still looks as good in his late 30s as Josh did.

Thomson also fought Ferguson which is something I hope Conor does before he retires. Not facing Edgar at 145 and not facing either tony or Kabib at 155 will diminish his legacy.
