JRE Mma #51 with Deontay Wilder

Its strange to see MMA people say Wilder lost. Man he KO'd Fury out cold. That would've been followed up with GnP in a fight. Yeah Fury outpointed him without damage, so what?

It's not MMA. The fact that Fury would've been finished by follow up GnP in an MMA bout couldn't possibly be more irrelevant. It's like talking about how a boxer's stance would leave him open to takedowns and leg kicks in MMA. Well, no shit. It's boxing. They're not worried about getting taken down or being leg kicked.

Why is it an mma show? Should be boxing show #3

Fury lost clearly for being knocked on his ass twice. If you think Wilder lost that fight you’re retarded. Everyone thought Fury died after that last knock down.

Why are you comparing 2 different sports? Being knocked down doesnt mean you lost if you won every other round thats not how boxing works.

My point was being knockdown should be counted way more than now. 1 knockdown (let alone a KO) round should be counted higher than 11 rounds of just touching your opponent.

You're aware like 90 percent of people thought Tyson won arent you? Youre in the minority. Being knocked down doesn't mean you automatically lose. He won all the other rounds.

It wouldn't be an admission because he didn't lose.

I won't discuss it here since this is the mma forum, but he lost and 2 KO which gave him 2 10-9 won't hide the fact he got outboxed.

nope, thinks he won, talking about commentary being biased, back of the head shots, bunch of excuses blah blah blah.

anyone who thinks fury lost that fight has no business trying to score fights.

Wrong. If he wanted to win he shouldn’t have been dropped on the canvas like a sack of shit. The end.

A knockdown (or getting KO'd in the 12th) is way more impressive than 'winning' 11 rounds of just touching

Nah bros Tyson won fair and square if its down to boxing rules and the official judging system rather than just what you think should matter more.

Crazy story about how he needed money for his daughter's spina bifida and that is how he got into boxing, just to try to make money. Wilder didn't start boxing until he was 21 years old and he made the Olympic team in a year and half. That is insane.

This isn't MMA though, we can appreciate other rulesets.

No, you're a fucking idiot. Going by boxing rules, Wilder lost. Fury was up on the score and it wasn't even close. No wonder you have a yellow card, you're dumb as a potato.

Why is Wilder under the impression that the UK literally just has boxing and nothing else to distract them? Its probably not even a top 5 sport there.

Also, remember 10 years ago when Rogan used to be smug as fuck saying no new boxing stars would ever emerge because everyone will go to MMA? now hes saying the Wilder/Fury rematch could be the biggest HW fight in boxing history lol.

Fury definitely took more rounds, but those knockdowns (especially the second) were clearly big moments in the fight.

I scored it for Fury, but wasn’t upset with the decision.

Why consider boxing score values as a good measure?

Is it me or is a knockdown/ko clearly not more impressive than outpointing someone by just touching?
