It also demonstrates how difficult it is for someone who’s only ever studied purely striking to keep on their feet when grappling is allowed.

I think though for self defense though the playing field is more even.

It doesn't demonstrate anything since he wouldn't strike his brother for real. A grappler can go harder without hurting
