Kentucky Derby...and Beyond?

Great, now we're going to have a long delay for a rider change.

#2, #7, #3, #5 was the order.

The #2 was my top rated horse going into the race, wins at almost 8/1, and I'm too much of a dummy to play it.

One more;

==========

Race 8 at Charles Town;

#5 No Soup for You 2/1 - 370.6
#9 Sliding Lady 4/1 - 364.2 (new pace top, outside speed type in sprint, and best pattern in race)
#6 First Dance 6/1 - 359.6
#7 Hanalei Sunset 3/1 - 359.3
#3 Runaway Charity 10/1 - 352.5
#1 Kilt Chaser 15/1 - 348.8
#2 My Awesome Alie 12/1 - 338.8
#8 Everythingisawesum 15/1 - 327.3
#4 Mackenzie's Gift 15/1 - 315.6

==========

Gonna bet this and forget it by playing a #5, #9, #6 exacta box for $6, and then play a $1 super key with the #9 on top of the #5, #6, #7, #3.

It figures. My lowest ranked horse race wins at 45/1 triggering crazy payouts of 2700/1 for the trifecta and 10800/1 for the super. Insane.

Btw, my brother, your AV is Thunder Snow. As soon as I saw him on horse racing nation, I thought "That's Sharkey's AV!". <Lmaoo>

Gonna win bet the #1 Frostie Anne coming up shortly in race 2 at Saratoga. She should be the clear favourite by my eyes, yet isn't currently and the will-pays say she won't be in the end.

That will wake a guy up. The #1 took the lead around the turn but the favourite hounded her the whole way to the line. Never got by, though. Game effort by the #1 to get the money.

Win bet on the #8 McCulley coming up in race 4 at Woodbine. Looks like it's strictly a two horse race between the #5 and #8 who I have close together (6 pts and then almost 50 pts back to the 3rd ranked horse). But the #8 horse should be 2 to 3 times the price (maybe better), so I'll go that way.

Gonna try a pair of $5 trifectas as well with the #5 over #8 over #3, #4.

#5, #4, #3 was the order.

The #8 looked like a winner coming around the turn and into the stretch when him and the #5 were well clear. Still looked like he'd hang on for 2nd late, but then he just gave up completely coming to the line. Unbelievable. Both the #4 and #3 were 20/1 bombers, so the trifecta paid well even with the heavy favourite on top (135/1).

Race 8 at Woodbine;

- The #2 Rocket Plan to win/place
- A pair of exacta boxes with the #2, #3 and the #2, #4
- Then a #2, #3, #4 trifecta box

The #2 should be some great value if he's set to run. Basically have him tied for 2nd with the #4, and is only about 10 points behind the #3 who's a heavy favourite. The #2 is currently sitting at 15/1 with under 10 mins to post.

With the Derby just over a week away and a lot of people already starting up on the handicapping process for the big race, I figured I'd start up a thread for us pony fans that post here. I'm sure there's a few and especially at this time of the year when the Derby can present opportunities for some life changing payouts. As one of those who has already started handicapping the race, I also have a shit load of data I've compiled over the last few days and would be more than happy to share it with anybody who is interested in it. It may be of little use. But maybe not. And who knows. Maybe after the Derby, Preakness and Belmont are run perhaps this thread can be used to share plays from those of us who play the ponies with some frequency.

You shouldn't gamble.

It's immoral. Put your extra money in a 401k and you'll feel better.

Immoral you say? Well shit, sounds like I should be gambling more then being the anti-social scoundrel that I am.

Thanks for the advice though.

Gonna play a few Canadian tracks this evening.
