I’m not saying he wouldn’t win or couldn’t beat a top 3 fighter, but you have to admit that much of his accolades are based on his ability and speculation as opposed to his accomplishments.

Conor has only ever beaten 1 single fighter at LW, Khabib has not beaten a top 3 no, but he has a few top ten wins at the very least.

If people actually bothered to analyze their styles they'd realize that Conor has had trouble against power double takedowns and grapplers who maintain a position without advancing, and defends well against clinch based takedowns and grapplers who try and transition on the ground for submissions or positions.

Khabib is the latter type of grappler, not the former.

If anything, it's these "hardcore" fans who don't seem to know what they're talking about. Khabib might still beat Conor, but his style doesn't matchup near as well as Sherdoggers seem to think it does.

Hard to fight the current Champ (at the time) when he's 100% in evasive maneuvers. Conor wasn't injure as far as I know, so what was stopping him from defending the belt?
