I watched this a little while back and thought it was interesting. I watched Magnus defend his world title last year so it was cool to get more backstory on him and learn more about who he is and how he got to be champ.

For anyone who doesn't know who Magnus Carlsen is--I mean, I get it, he's not exactly Payton Manning in terms of notoriety--he's a young Norwegian dude who won the World Chess Championship in 2013 and defended his title in 2014 and 2016.


 
'Searching for Bobby Fischer', 1993, is a much better watch. Based on real life Josh Waitzkin.

Seen it and read the book.

I agree it's a better watch but Magnus is also interesting.

Carlsen is also still involved in the competitive chess world, for what that's worth.
