I couldn't agree with you more.

I think we've let our emotions and empathy blind us to the simple fact that we cannot afford to spend at the current rate that we are doing.
-the welfare state has simply grown too large and those individuals that solely rely on it have to be held somewhat accountable for their personal level of consumerism(spending on non-"needs") and their penchant for not saving enough for throughout their lifetime.

I'd love to provide healthcare, elderly care, and all types of benefits to all of our citizens but our tax revenue may need to stay up
(tax cuts may not be a great move if there isn't an increase in these corporations investing in themselves and hire)
AND
our spending needs to be lowered
(the welfare state is quite large and Medicare/Medicaid are, by far, the largest expenses of the federal budget.

NOT at the fault of the rich but rather a lot of it is the lifestyle that many have chosen.
(smokers, overweight people, and most with unhealthy habits, also tend to be those who are less affluent and on the lower end of the socio-economic spectrum)

good job in taking notice of this and realizing that there are reasons behind everyone's disposition (even "little Marco" has his reasons haha)

Bernie called it. The republicans want to pass this tax bill then complain in a few years how the national debt is too high which they will then go after medicare and social security.

He's on 8 committees and he does his job poorly in every single one. He is carrying too large a load and its negatively affecting his work. He should be on less committees and maybe, I'm not banking on it, his performance and attendance to the meetings will improve.

Policies have effects and Rubio is no dummy. His policies will hurt many, many people. So yes, he will be eliminating many poor people through rendering them incapable of taking care of themselves.

That's right. We can all be wealthy. It's easy.

Better to bankrupt the sick elderly or their immediate family to cover escalating medical costs in the face of evaporating Medicare. It's not like these people can take their modest holdings with them. Then again, social security is an entitlement, thus it is an earned benefit and not gov. welfare. Your point that people now depend on gov. instead of family is nonsense.

23 percent of Social Security benefits and 14 percent of Medicaid benefits could disappear by 2034, and that's a good thing to you? Let's cut SS by 50% and Medicaid by 40%; that would save the government more money, strengthen the economy even more, and get more lazy poor people off their asses. MAGA!
